A Tribute to Myles and Ruth Munroe

Myles and I called ourselves ‘twin brothers’ Myles, my twin brother is gone up to glory Ruth, his partner in life and death has gone to eternal rest Faith and I miss you both! Our moments together on this side of the Jordan were most memorable. We stayed together on several occasions under the same roof We lodged in same hotels time and again; we shared the platform together preaching the good news of the Kingdom over the years. Our friendship of over 24 years was a most enriching and adventurous one, Our partnership in ministry was also a most profitable and rejuvenating one. Myles, my twin brother A bundle of inspiration A man of spiritual depth and insight A leader of leaders and teacher of teachers Ruth, a bundle of joy and divine radiance Your smiles were ever contagious, You exhumed gentleness, love and care like a fountain You were indeed a priceless jewel! The two of you were swifter than eagles You literally traversed the globe As you taught nations the principles of the Kingdom You were both as strong as the unicorn, Energetic, untiring, never relenting, purposeful and focused I could still remember, Myles and I took all the inaugural induction lectures for the pioneer Faculty and Staff of Covenant University in August 2002. Multiple Skills for the 21st Century by Jim Rohn

I find it's important to not walk into the beginning part of this 21st Century without multiple skills. But what I also find is that if you are already in sales, network marketing or have an entrepreneurial business (or plan to in the future), you can gain the needed skills for the future while you create your income now. Here's my short list for on the job training, so that you can learn while you earn. 1) SALES I began my journey with sales, which of course dynamically changed my life back at age 25. The first year I multiplied my income by five. I was raised in farm country. I knew how to milk cows, but it didn't pay well. But sales altered the course of my life, learning to present a valid product in the marketplace, talk about its virtues and get somebody to say "yes." And then give them good service. 2) RECRUITING Then came recruiting, how to expand my business, build an organization. We have all heard the question, is it better to have one person selling a $1000 or have 100 people selling $10? If you ask me, I'll take the 100 at $10. Recruiting, the ability to multiply your efforts, once mastered, is one of life and leadership's greatest time management resources. 3) ORGANIZING Then I learned organizing. Keeping your own schedule can be difficult at times, but now you have to balance multiple tasks and people to get maximum results. But you will find that the payoff is massive once you have tapped into the synergy and momentum of group dynamics and teamwork. 4) PROMOTION Next is promotion. First it's the spring campaign and then the fall campaign, and then it's this month's objective's campaign. You never know when it's going to click for someone to want or need to buy from you or be a part of what you are doing, so having the offer or the special or the contest going when they're ready can make all the difference. 5) RECOGNITION Then it's the recognition. Some people work harder for recognition than they do for money. It's the chance to belong. Getting people to do something that ordinarily on their own, they wouldn't think of doing. They could, but they don't think of it. You come along with a little promotion for this month or this quarter and everything changes for them, and I found that paid big money. 6) COMMUNICATION Then I learned communication. How to do the training, how to do the teaching, and probably the greatest gift of all is learning how to inspire with words. Inspire people to see themselves better than they are; all of those gifts, all of those skills. Being the voice that tells them they have made a wise decision and here's why. Now, I believe that as you walk into this century with just that little short list I've given you, you'll be equipped. We've all watched what has happened the last 15 years. The guy had one skill - the company downsizes. His division is eliminated and since he only had one skill, now he is vulnerable. He's wandering around saying, "Oh my, the last few years I should have taken some classes that would have taught me a couple of more things and I wouldn't be here in this vulnerable position." So my admonition -- learn some multiple skills, or should we say, back-up skills for the 21st Century and no better place to learn them than in what you’re already doing now.

Be open to change by Les Brown

Changing your life is hard! It requires everything in you to move your life in a different direction. Determine to break the habits that have caused you to live a life that does not reflect the real you. Embrace the fear of the unknown and release the need to stay stuck in your established routines. You are bigger and stronger than any habit, addiction or circumstance. Change is not the result of wishful thinking, willpower, or even intention. It will happen because of hard work, careful planning, focused energy and feeling the pain that has kept you stuck. Until the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of change, your life will remain exactly the way it is. This new way of living requires dedication, practice, patience and pushing yourself in the right direction over and over again. You can change your life. You can do hard!! You have something special. You have GREATNESS within you!
A NEW BEGINNING Beginning is different from new beginning. Beginning talks about a time or place at which anything begins / source or origin New talks about a renewed, reformed, different from a recent previous one. All together a NEW BEGINNING about a renewed start!!! Having to start something over again after previous attempt. God is a God of second chance. We can see that outlined in the bible. Isa 41:15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat [them] small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. Isa 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of Isa 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert. Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. A new beginning comes with a new heart and mind. Newness come with freshness, no matter where we have slipped God wants us to retrace our steps back and start all over again. It’s not costly to start over again but it’s very costly to keep treading on the wrong path in life. At every point of repentance there is a NEW SPIRIT & A NEW HEART God wants to give to his or her children. Jer 4:3 for thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. A fallow ground talks about uncultivated ground. First step to a new Beginning is to break the fallow ground (uncultivated heart or mind) Second step is to cultivate the ground (improve the mind) Third step is to water and weed the ground (keep sowing the word) Fourth step is to get ready for harvest (harvest of good habits, character etc)
